I highly recommend having a Pentium III with 500 MHZ or higher, as the faster the computer you have the faster the encoding process will be for your videos. If you have a Pentium IV the processing is nearly twice as fast as a Pentium III. You can get by with even a Pentium II, however your encoding times would be slow. Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and Windows XP. After you burn your movie to regular CD's you can play it back in either a standard DVD Player or your computer's dvd player. Most DVD players manufactured within the last two years will work. Check your owner's manual to see if your dvd player support VCD/SVCD format. Most DVD players now will support VCD, SVCD, CD-R, MP3, and more. Q: How many CD's does it take to complete a two hour movie A: It usually takes about 2 blank CD-R's to complete a two hour movie You can store about 70 minutes of video on one CD-R in SVCD format. Q: Is the
quality as good as DVD?
What is ideal is that once you burn your movie to a regular CD-R or CD-RW you can then play it back in either a standard DVD Player (as long as it supports Video CD or SVCD ) and supports CD-R or CD-R/W reading . Most DVD Players manufactured within the last year and a half, support the standard Video CD format. Refer to your DVD Player owners manual to see if it supports these formats and if it is a dual laser. |
